Who Is Eligible

If you received a traffic ticket in Palm Beach County that does not involve a crash, does not require a mandatory hearing and has not been referred to a collection agency, you may submit a Conditional Plea of No Contest and Waiver of Appearance.

Benefits of a Conditional Plea

If your conditional plea is accepted by the court:

  • No points will be added to your driving record.
  • You will not have to attend a court hearing.
  • The court will withhold adjudication of guilt.

By submitting a conditional plea, you also get more time to pay.

If the court accepts your conditional plea, you will receive a court order with the amount you must pay and how long you have to pay it. The court may also require you to attend driving school within a certain period of time.

If the court does not accept your conditional plea, you can then choose to pay the ticket, pay the ticket and attend traffic school, or request a court date to plead not guilty.

How to Submit a Conditional Plea

When submitting a conditional plea, you do not need to pay your ticket until the court makes a ruling.
