The Records Service Center (Room 4.2500 on the 4th floor of the Main Courthouse) provides copies and certified copies of:

  • Official Records (deeds, mortgages, judgments, liens, marriage licenses, etc.)
  • Court records
  • Plats

How to View Records

You may search and view many records online, and print uncertified copies for free. Effective January 1, 2024, some of our indexing practices have changed. To perform a successful search of the Official Records, be sure to use broad search parameters and include all name variations.

 
To request a search by mail, please use the Records Service Transmittal Form and provide the exact name and time period you wish searched; your name; a self-addressed, stamped envelope; case number, if applicable and the appropriate fees.


How to Get Copies & Certified Copies

Online 

View and print uncertified copies of Official Records and court documents for free. Electronically certified copies may be purchased online:

In Person

 For copies and certified copies of most Official Records and court records, visit any of our office locations.

  • Copies of plats and of records on film or in physical books are only available at the Main Courthouse. However, we can send copies of these items to our branch locations for pickup.

By Mail

To order copies by mail, please use the Records Service Transmittal Form. Copies may be picked up at the Clerk's office, or you may include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to have the copies mailed to you.

You must include sufficient payment with your request or have sufficient funds in escrow. Copies of records up to 8½” x 14" are $1 per page. If you wish to have the document certified, there is an additional cost of $2.00 per instrument plus $1.00 for the cover page that provides a unique code and QR Code to authenticate the certified copy. See more about fees and costs.

To assist us in filling your request, please provide the following information:

Official Records:

  • CFN (Clerk File Number) or Book and Page
  • Number of pages

Court Dockets:

  • Complete case number
  • Specify docket number range requested (e.g. from docket entry number 1234 to the end of docket)

Court Pleadings:

  • Complete case number
  • Docket entry number(s) for desired pleading(s)

Payment

  • In-person payment options include cash, check, money order, credit card or escrow account.
  • For mail orders, we accept payment by check, money order or escrow account.
